or need an SLA?
Everything in Free, plus what the largest audiences ask for: a written availability commitment, dedicated support, single sign-on, custom rate and retention limits, and help running your migration. Sized to you, and still never per subscriber.
Four promises, in writing, on this page.
- We never charge per subscriber or per MAU — you pay for services, not for your users.
- Your signup terms never get repriced. What you start on is what you keep.
- Your data exports free, forever. No lock-in, no exit fee.
- Free push stays free. To a million MAU per app, indefinitely.
Five ways this can end, and no others.
- We close it to new signups. We can stop offering the free tier to new accounts at any time. If you are already on it, you keep it. Being early is meant to count.
- Apple or Google start charging for delivery. The pledge rests on APNs and FCM being free. If that stops being true, so does the arithmetic — and we would show you the evidence rather than quietly reprice.
- You send to people who did not consent, or split one product across many nominal apps to duck the ceiling. We email you first.
- An app goes dormant for 18 months — nothing sent, nobody signed in. We email, wait 30 days, then reclaim it. Your export stays open the whole time.
- We get acquired and the buyer decides differently. The pledge transfers with the company, so a buyer inherits it — but we will not pretend to bind a company that does not exist yet. If a successor changes it, they are held to everything below.
In every one of those cases: 90 days' written notice, nothing ever charged retroactively, your data still exports free, and we still never charge per subscriber. There is no clause letting us withdraw the free tier because we changed our minds — that is the whole point of listing these. Read it in the terms →

OneSignal's Growth plan bills $0.012 per monthly active user — each mobile subscription record with a session in the billing period, opted in or not — and from Oct 1 its Free plan stops at 1,000 MAU. Drag to your size.
How is free push
sustainable?
Because delivery is free. Apple's APNs and Google's FCM don't charge per message, so sending to a million users costs the same as sending to ten — nothing.
What's left is our software — the console, the audience model, the journeys engine and the scheduling — and that's cheap to run once it's built.
There is no per-message fee because there is no transport of ours to charge for. Your sends go straight to Apple and Google on your own credentials — we never sit in the delivery path, so there is nothing in the middle for us to meter.
We keep the lights on with services for the largest teams — never a per-subscriber tax. Free push is the point, not the trap.
Pricing questions.
Do you charge per subscriber or per MAU?
No — never. You pay for services, not for your users. Push to a million monthly active users per app is free forever, and we don't meter your subscriber list.
Which features are free? Is anything gated?
Everything on this page: push on iOS, Android and web, Journeys, in-app messages, Live Activities, Intelligent Delivery, A/B tests, OpenPush AI, the MCP server, unlimited segments, tags and templates, funnel analytics, caps and quiet hours, the OneSignal importer and the full API. There is no starter tier with the good parts removed, and no cap on the number of journeys, segments or data tags.
How is free push sustainable?
Delivery is free: APNs and FCM don't charge per message, so cost doesn't scale with your audience. Your credentials go straight to Apple and Google — there's no delivery network of ours in between, so there's nothing for us to meter. We charge the largest teams for services, never anyone for their subscriber count.
What happens past a million MAU?
Talk to us — we'll say yes. The "free to 1M per app" line covers roughly every indie app and game we've met; above it we'll work out something fair that's still never a per-subscriber tax.
Is there a credit card to start?
No — no card, no trial clock. Join the early-access waitlist and we'll onboard you from Oct 10.
Free to start. Free to stay.
