Data export commitment.

Everything you put in comes back out, free, in a format our own importer reads. This is the commitment that makes leaving cheap — which is the only thing that makes staying a choice.

Effective 10 October 2026 · Last updated 5 August 2026 · Operated by SuperTuned Inc

Effective 10 October 2026. These terms take effect when OpenPush opens to the public. They are published now so you can read them before deciding whether to sign up, and so any change between now and then is visible rather than sprung on you. If you need contractual certainty sooner, email legal@openpush.ai and we will deal with you directly.

The commitment

At any time, without asking permission and without paying for it, you can take a point-in-time export of your whole account: subscribers, tags and attributes, segments, templates, scheduled and sent messages, and delivery events. Everything you put in, plus everything we recorded about what happened to it.

Point-in-time is the honest word for it. The archive is snapshot-isolated and states the mode it was taken in, so it is internally consistent — but it is a photograph of your account at the moment you asked, not a live mirror. Anything that happens after you press the button is in the next export, not this one.

The one exception is secrets. We will not export your APNs key or your FCM service-account credentials, because we should not be handing those around in a file — they are yours already, in your Apple and Google developer accounts.

The formats

The part that actually matters

Our own importer reads our own export. That sounds obvious and it is rarer than it should be — plenty of products will hand you a file that nothing, including themselves, can ingest again.

It matters for a specific reason: it is the difference between a file and a working account. A round-trip that restores a working account is a test we can run, and we do run it. An export you cannot re-import is a receipt, not an exit.

Why we are making a point of this

OpenPush is a hosted service. We do not publish the server, and you cannot run it yourself. That is a real constraint and we are not going to dress it up — so the question "what happens if you go away, or get worse, or change your mind about pricing?" deserves a concrete answer rather than a reassurance.

The answer is this page. Your subscribers are registered on your own APNs and FCM credentials, so the relationship with your users does not live inside our account — and everything we hold about them leaves on a button. The switching cost of leaving OpenPush is the thing keeping us honest, and we would rather it stayed low.

On the way out

Export keeps working through account closure and through any wind-down of the service. If we ever shut OpenPush down, exports stay available for the whole notice period — the deprecation policy sets out the notice you get, and the Terms make free export a binding commitment rather than a courtesy.

If an export ever fails, is incomplete, or will not import cleanly, that is a bug and we want to hear about it: hello@openpush.ai.
